If I couldn't afford $49, I would probably go for V2V. I really wish it had some keyboard shortcuts as the 3 scrubbers are a little lame, but still faster than Video to Video. Although not free, it's been quite good to me. I think I'll stick to Smart Cutter still. A couple buttons with a mouse click skipped forward or backward only by a second. Arrows on my keyboard allow for frame jumping, even tried holding it down. Scrubbing through the video would only allow maybe 30 second accuracy for the multiple hour long video I used. For some reason it wouldn't let me cut out the last part of a video. I found it wasn't frame accurate, took much longer to render than SmartCutter, a little glitchy when the final video was played back where the cuts were made, and I also had trouble cutting out parts from the middle of a vid to the very very end. I did try using it on a large MTS recording I have for editing out commercials.įor a free piece of software, it's not bad.
